I paint both fantasy and observed reality – scenes that are familiar, part of every day life and the changes that occur in the landscape.

My paintings are very detailed and a reaction against the minimalism of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. I trained at St Martins school of Art , London and The West of England College of art Bristol. Having painted the pebbles of the Chesil Beach I am now painting Dorset Clumps of trees.
