I worked as a teacher, teaching art in secondary schools from 1970, finally retiring in 2007.
Welcoming new opportunities, I have enjoyed creating new paintings and explored various media and ideas.
I mainly focus on the colour and texture of plants, which are my passion. I work in watercolour and acrylic and like to take ‘close up’ views of my flower studies and in my garden paintings.

I have been experimenting with using strong, vibrant, contrasting colours and strive to create a strong sense of light and shade.

Other interests also include local landscapes and seascapes.
