I have drawn and doodled since childhood, but it took members of the wonderful Halifax Art Society in 2005 to inspire me to try all sorts of media and techniques. With such enthusiastic help, and the inspiration of Kate Lycett’s work, I drew copiously in pen. This, combined with the vibrancy of water-based dyes, helped me to develop my own style.

Subjects include townscapes, fantasy, real places, beneath the sea and abstracts, to name but a few.

I also work in acrylics, with an abstract twist. I like to use the paint thickly on large canvasses.
