It took me 40 years to tackle my school art teacher’s statement that I couldn’t draw.

I went through life believing this until my need to be creative, in an artistic way, got too strong and I bravely enrolled on a beginners’ drawing class.

Guess what? I could draw!

This led to more courses and lots of self-learning and practice in painting, print-making, life drawing and portraits. I loved it and knew this was what I was meant to do from now on.

I now have a studio in my garden and paint and print-make in several mediums.

Various subjects – whatever interests me – but mostly inspired by local scenes (which I like to portray from different angles), nature and life.
