Cathy Warne is a self-taught amateur photographer who draws her inspiration from light and the landscape. She is s draughtsman by trade (the ‘man’ referring to the species rather than the gender) and also loves strong architectural shapes lines & shadows.

Cathy is currently working towards her Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society, which she hope to achieve late in 2017. She is using the challenge to develop her printing skills. Cathy will always try to capture the image ‘in-camera’ rather than relying on Photoshop to ‘create’ the picture during post-processing. Using the program to tweak and enhance just to give the picture a little nudge.

2017 sees Cathy embarking on her first 365 project, challenging her on a daily basis to make a picture – some days are easier than others!
