I have lived by the sea in Ringstead for thirty years; having a family changed my degree plans, and I have been self-taught since completing my foundation year at Exeter College of Art.

I use watercolour for painting, and pen and ink for drawings and tree studies in the winter months.

By choice, I am always an outdoor ‘plein air’ artist, beguiled by the light, striving to portray it and the beauty I perceive all around me. I see painting and drawing as a meditation; a way to feel more connected to the land that I love, to honour the land’s spirit and to share this connection with others through my work.

I sell cards, prints and originals from my home at Southdown Farm, and in several local cafes and shops. I am also available for commissions and art tutoring.
