Together with Neil, my husband, we had a successful exhibition in the Hayloft, near Pennsylvania Castle here on Portland from June 20th to July 18th.
I have an exhibition at Café Oasis (Weymouth) for 4 weeks starting Thursday 13th September until Wednesday 10th October.
I was a 2017 finalist in “A Stitch in Time” – an international on-line competition run by Artscene in the USA for my Bennett’s Water Gardens picture. Have a look here.
I attempt to recreate the beauty I encounter every day into vibrant colourful hand- sewn collage land and seascapes made from new, recycled, remnant and hand painted cottons. Framed in driftwood, these, alongside prints and other items, are sold locally and in galleries in Devon such as Otterton Mill and No. 96 Gallery Topsham.
I have some of my local Portland work in the recently opened Athay Gallery here on Portland. I will be there for the official opening on Friday 21st September at 6pm if you would like to meet me and other artists as well as see our work and perhaps take part in an auction of pictures and sculptures.
I have been chairman of Artwey for a number of years and also been invited to become a member of the Association of British Naive Art .
My role in organising Open For Art 2019 is also keeping me busy!
