Nothe Fort – In Person (Venue 288)

CHRISTINE ROGERS LANDING PAGE NOTHE IN PERSON GROUP PHOTO 'Weymouth Wave'

For DAW 2021 Twenty four Artwey members have been given a fabulous opportunity to exhibit in person at the historic Nothe Fort situated on the stunning Jurassic Coast (a UNESCO World Heritage site) in Dorset, UK. The exhibition will run in a covid safe environment from 22nd to 31st May.

Our works include painting, photography, stone carving, ceramics, stained glass and textiles. We will be there from Saturday 22nd May up to and including Monday 31st May. We are open from 11am to 4pm. Last entry is at 3.30pm. Admission is payable with family and annual passes available. All covid precautions are in place. My ideas are a response to the world around me, the textures and forms of the nature which I observe. They are also embodiments of thoughts and ideas which flow when I am still. As well as exhibiting “in person” I am also exhibiting online with the Weymouth Old Town Hall Group.

Belinda is a Dorset Ceramic Artist working from her garden studio in Weymouth, Dorset. Belinda’s wall Art and sculptures are inspired by her love of the coast and life-long passion for wildlife.

I enjoy the tactile sensations of carving stone revealing its inner character and the geometry of the nature that surrounds us. As well as exhibiting “in person” I am also exhibiting online with the Portland Heights Group.

I am inspired by the Dorset countryside and sea where I live. I don’t have any formal training but have worked in fashion and garden design so love colour texture and form. As well as exhibiting “in person” I am also exhibiting online with the Portland Heights Group.

I love to paint animals and have been trying to broaden my horizons by painting local landscapes. I mainly work in watercolour but have recently been experimenting with drawing inks and also acrylics.

I am a photographer and like to look for the unusual. This photo is frozen ice in a rusty fire pit and I love the colours and texture. I use a Panasonic compact camera which fits in my pocket. As well as exhibiting “in person” I am also exhibiting online with the Weymouth Old Town Hall Group.

I enjoy expressing myself in a variety of creative ways. Lockdown gave me the time and opportunity to go deeper into different methods of printmaking including collography, gelli and linoprinting. As well as exhibiting “in person” I am also exhibiting online with the Portland Heights Group.

I love to needle felt and I love nature. This is reflected in my work. I predominantly work with sheep’s wool but also enhance my work with other fibres and embellishments. As well as exhibiting “in person” I am also exhibiting online with the Portland Heights Group.
