Ever since I was a child I have loved exploring the feel of the surfaces of pebbles, seedpods tree bark etc, turning them over and over in my hand, and collecting examples in my pockets! The dream was to have a studio in Dorset where I could explore the rich diversity of texture and colour in this glorious county. Now, from my garden Studio, I can work with handbuilt ceramic forms to capture the essence of landscape and seascape, creating organic forms both freestanding and wall mounted. I also use wheel thrown forms and have developed a simple range of earthenware crockery, glazed in a forest green.
