Vera Gilbert
Having stitched since a very early age Vera still spends all her spare time stitching, being inspired by the beautiful Jurrasic Coast.

Over the last few years she has limited herself to only using fabric and threads from her "stash" which has been growing over the years.

This has meant she has to be much more creative. She has also tended more to the more traditional embroidery with a modern twist and lockdown has given her plenty of time to be a bit more experimental.

Wearable art has become something of a passion, completing two embroidered coats which are repurposed.

There is nothing Vera enjoys more than passing on the traditional skills she has acquired over many years and problem solving if people are stuck with their current project or one that has been stuck in the cupboard for years.
