I taught art for over 30 years, finally retired in 2007. With lots more time, I have enjoyed creating many new paintings and exploring a variety of media.

I work in watercolour, acrylic and oils and the colour and texture of plants, especially trees are a passion. I paint ‘close up’ views of flowers and studies of my garden and also local landscapes and seascapes in Dorset

I am fascinated by strong, vibrant, colours and I strive to create a strong sense of light and shade in my paintings, especially in my most recent oil studies of atmospheric evening and morning skies and light reflected on water.
