After graduating in Bristol I returned to London working in TV before moving to Weymouth in 1996 to raise a family. Having achieved my dream of living by the sea and running a self-catering business, I picked up my brushes again and now work from the studio in my gardens overlooking Portland Harbour, where I paint still life, portraiture and landscapes. Now specialising in commissions for families reflecting their lives through nostalgic still life or landscapes.
I was a founding director of Artwey in 2008 and was involved in running the group, organising exhibitions and pop up shows, including the biannual open studios event ‘OPEN FOR ART’ throughout South Dorset. With Carol Cruickshank I delivered the only local official Cultural Olympic Project ‘THE GIANT WALL’ during 2012. After thirteen years I have now retired from the Core group making way for a new team to take Artwey onwards and upwards and to concentrate on my own art practice. |
