After completing a Fine Art degree in Birmingham as a somewhat mature student, I decided to learn how to paint. I have attended a multitude of classes, tried all sorts of media, and have both enjoyed and been frustrated by them all in equal measure. I come back to still- life often; here lies an opportunity to bring everyday objects to the fore for close consideration, with the objects becoming actors on a stage, telling a story. My love of walking in the wonderful Dorset countryside and swimming in the sea makes trying to capture landscape and sea scape tempting too.
