I basically paint for myself and for the relaxation, enjoyment and the sense of satisfaction from having created something from scratch. I have reached retirement age, but I continue to work part-time at a hospital.

I am always looking to improve my ability and I like to experiment with different styles and to learn from others as I go along. I haven't studied at art college, but I have enjoyed attending evening classes including life drawing and painting. The courses helped me to try new things and gave me an oppertunity to develop my drawing and painting skills. I moved to different locations to live and enjoyed attending classes in Cornwall, London and Antibes in France.
