I moved to Weymouth in 2021 after finishing a degree in 3D Design Craft at Plymouth College of Art. This course gave the opportunity to play with metals, glass and ceramics. Studying as a mature student was refreshing and I specialised in hot glass blowing finding the transparency of colour in glass captivating. In addition I practised glass casting, stained glass and pate de verre techniques; metal work for jewellery and enamelling are skills I am taking forward.
I take inspiration for my work from the natural world, geology, the elements and celtic art. Being responsible for the future of the natural environment weighs heavy on me.
