The Exhibitors

Caroline Nairn

Seagulls over Norway

I find painting and drawing an absorbing hobby and have enjoyed experimenting with a variety of media over the years. I use mainly pastels acrylics and printing techniques and endeavour to describe my feelings for the Dorset countryside in a semi-abstract way, often working from local sketches. Recent work in print and collage is based on a holiday in Norway.

Mostly self taught, I specialise in watercolour paintings and pen and ink drawings of boats, harbour scenes and landscapes. In this exhibition I will be featuring recent work relating to the Dorset coast and countryside. Paintings will be available to buy framed or just mounted, and I will also have a selection of cards for sale. Also on display will be some of the sketchbooks and notes that I use in the production of my paintings.
