Christine was born in Dorset and has always lived close to the sea, which has had a major influence on her work.

Christine explains:-
“The sea is an image that is never still with its ripples, flickering reflections from the sun and sky, sparkling with colour from boats flying their spinnaker, a never ending thrill of sheer beauty and excitement.”
Within her working practice, she interprets this by building up the image by using hard-edged geometric shapes in combination of tone and colour to produce a flickering painting resonating beyond its perimeters.
Christine studied Fine Art Painting in Cheltenham where she gained a BA Hons and also at the Wimbledon School of Art, where she achieved her Masters Degree.
She has exhibited in the West Country and London and her works hang in private collections on both sides of the Atlantic.
