Before qualifying as a graphic designer back in 2001, I had studied fine art, printmaking and textiles, as well as photography. I became a mum in 2001 and worked freelance, dedicating my time to working freelance and setting up exhibitions. Lately, I ceased doing commercial work to pursue my own projects such as my current piece, highlighting the ‘selfie generation’ and its effect on the beautiful county which I grew up in and love; Dorset. I am fascinated by the juxtaposition of nature and consumerism and I continue to research this to inform my work. My primary fields of work are textiles, paint, printmaking and photography; with a particular passion for film photography.
