The Artwey Deal for 2011

Annual Membership of Artwey is open to any person who works creatively in the visual arts, full time or part-time at any level of experience. There is no selection procedure - but perhaps there might be a deselection if someone really misbehaves!

Subscriptions are due by the end of January for the current calendar year, members can join at any time of the year - if they join close the the year end with no further benefit likely, then they may be offered a roll-over into the next year.

Subscriptions can be paid using the PayPal system on this website at this link.

Artists who live outside the Weymouth & Portland area are welcome to pay a subscription, but they would only benefit from the Artwey activities - which all take place in the local area, only slightly beyond the borough boundaries.

The subscription entitles artists to have their own website entries permanently published (unless their subscriptions are not renewed). They are given password access to add and edit their own content, text and images. That includes :-

  • The artist's own page about themselves and their artwork
  • A collection of their own Galleries with images of their work. Currently an unlimited number may be uploaded, they are automatically resized.
  • Diary entries, related to their activities and events during the year. These are shown as links on the main calendar pages of the website.
  • Feature or note entries, which they can use to post their current thoughts and plans.

Membership also involves being able to participate in a members only internet based information exchange, using the Google systems. New members are invited to join the system upon payment of the subscription.

To take part in Artwey's events each artist must be a current member and then register for the event and pay the necessary fees. They will then be given access to set up the details of their venue in the event on the website. Groups of artists can appear at the same venue, all must be members and all must pay the event fee. When the details have been approved and signed off as proofed they are extracted for use in printed materials. More details are given when the events have been set up.

Potential members are invited to come along to the Artwey Members meetings, details are published on the website.

Hi Nicola,
Your work sounds very interesting, and given the variety of styles in the group, I'm sure it would fit in.
I dont know if anyone has replied to yor comment, and being only semi-literate with computers I'm not much help, but you should e-mail info@artwey.co.uk.
I hope this is helpful.
Regards,
Cathy Taylor

Hi, I am trying to read your website on a Mac and all the letters are packed so tightly together, they overlap each other making it very difficult to read. I am an amateur digital photographer and my work is usually heavily processed giving it a painterly effect... would that be acceptable to your group as I see a lot of painters included. Love some of the work of Artwey and have purchased some myself. Keep the good work up, regards, Nicki.
